We are looking for full time and part time people who are reliable, friendly and able to work under pressure in a fast pace and high demand environment. We are hiring for local county fairs and seasonal events. General duties in kitchen areas, include setting up, serving, cooking, washing equipment, and cleaning. Perform routine food service activities according to established operational policies and procedures. Demonstrates basic knowledge of menu and responds to guest inquiries and concerns in a courteous manner. Assist in ensuring a clean, safe and well-organized restaurant. Follow food and restaurant safety standards and guidelines. Attention to detail in food/service quality and cleanliness Ensure a constant and adequate supply of ingredients are prepared according to company specifications and local health regulations. While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Work space is restricted and employees are expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees may be required to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Minimum of one year kitchen experience. Spanish speaking is a plus.
We are looking for eager and honest individuals to work during the county fair. We are looking for cashiers to work in our food concession stand. Experienced is not required but always a plus. Must be able to multi-task and handle fast paced environment. Will be required to take customer food orders, hand out food, serve drinks, and keep area clean at all times. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Will be required to keep area fully stocked and clean at all times. Must become familiar with menu items and food being serve. Hours will vary according to venue and based upon availability, event hours run from 11am to 10pm. Spanish speaking is always a plus.
